The region Auvergne is almost situated in the centre of France. It is an occitan country of mountains and volcanoes. It is the country of the qualitative agriculture and the gastronomy. It is also a little area of megaliths with about 60 in 70 dolmens and less than 50 menhirs. There are nevertheless here very beautiful monuments in basalt or granite. They deserve every our respect and as well as we left in the discovery of some among the most typical in the pages which follow.
